The topic of visual noise has already been touched upon in our magazine more than once. It was, for example, about decanting in the kitchen — the art of beautifully storing ordinary products. Everything is clear and with an abundance of assorted decor, it also spoils the interior and creates a mess. We tell you what other visual noises are in apartments and how to deal with them.
If you suddenly decided that store boxes can replace special storage devices, then you should think about whether this is so. Over time, colorful packaging from the store will begin to annoy you, even if things are stored in it in a closed closet. After all, it is worth getting rid of the visual mess not only for the sake of external gloss and guests, but also for yourself. To an even greater extent, this applies to open storage — here the names of stores, advertising slogans and bright boxes are definitely out of place. About a rare exception — in the next paragraph.
Believe me, you will not only get rid of the visual noise in the bathroom, but with the help of beautiful jars and bottles you will make the interior even more stylish. There are such containers in any online store — both individual bottles and sets are sold so that the entire cosmetic range looks uniform.
Advice: often liquid cosmetics are sold immediately in beautiful packages and bottles. You can buy a whole series of such cosmetics and after use do not throw away the packaging, but continue to use it for transfusion. Rare cosmetic brands even make labels very stylish — take a closer look.
Decorative textiles are not a popular trend now, but a thing that is already in every home. But what happens to blankets and pillows when you don’t use them? Lying on the edge of the sofa? Heaped up or wrapped in a plastic bag? You already know: and storage can be aesthetic! You can keep decorative pillows, removable covers and pillowcases, medium-sized rugs in jute or bamboo baskets. You can choose a model both with a lid (to cover up a possible mess inside) and without it (if you are sure that a slightly careless, cozy composition of peeking things is formed at the top).
Advice: if your bed is a work of art made of bedspreads, blankets, pillows, then surely before going to bed all the textiles are where they have to be. We also solve the problem with the help of a basket! Convenient and beautiful.
It’s okay if one inconspicuous jacket hangs in the hallway. But if you take a family of 4 people and imagine that at least one piece of outerwear for each is stored in the corridor … And in the off-season, there may be more than one thing in use, then the entrance group becomes critically cluttered. It is necessary to think over closed storage — for a large family it is inevitable. For example, only wet clothes can be left in sight. The rest — we put it on the shoulders in the closet. Ideally, the closet should be close to the entrance. If there are no closed shelves in principle, use coat hangers instead of hooks (evenly hanging clothes are more pleasing to the eye), hang jackets one by one, put away in plain cases what has not been worn for several days. For hats and scarves, provide a small basket here, near the entrance — preferably with a lid so that things do not gather dust.
Of course, it is necessary to think through the entire decoupling of connecting equipment to the network at the planning stage: a sufficient number of correctly located sockets will solve not only the problem of visual mess. But what if it wasn’t planned? Rule: 1 room = 1 extension cord, two are unlikely to be properly hidden. Think about what secluded place the wires from all the equipment reach, near which there is no own outlet, and place the surge protector there. If it is possible to put the wire under the baseboard — feel free to do it. Sometimes the extension cord is covered by nearby furniture, decor, or hidden in a shelving unit. The wires from the computer can be hidden with the help of special accessories that are attached under the table and collect them in a bundle. In addition, there are tables with a niche for cables — ideal for working from home.
Advice: if a lone black wire “runs” along the wall in the most visible place, but there is no way to hide it, then think about a cable channel (it is often used for intercoms). Not ideal, but sometimes solves the problem.
