The humidity in the room must be carefully monitored. With its lack, your health deteriorates. In addition to special devices, you can use other methods for moisturizing. For example, keep plants at home. Any of them has transpiration — the ability to absorb water through the roots and evaporate through the leaves. In our selection, we have collected flowers that do this especially well.

one dwarf ficus

This variety in appearance differs from other ficuses. It is decorated with small leaves that grow very quickly. The plant was born in Asian countries: Japan and China. Ficus shoots are thin and branch very strongly. The dwarf plant looks great in hanging baskets and planters. It is better to keep it in a place with diffused lighting.

Ficus loves humidity: it is necessary to water it often and abundantly at a temperature of about 20-25 degrees. It is also worth regularly spraying the leaves. The plant evaporates moisture well, therefore it is able to humidify the air. Ficus cleanses it of toxins and saturates it with oxygen. However, the plant is not recommended to be placed in a nursery or bedroom, since at night it, on the contrary, absorbs oxygen.

2 sparmania

Sparmania (or «indoor linden») is a large-leaved plant that in the future can grow to the size of a shrub (up to 1.5 meters in height). For the home, you can find a dwarf variety, this will reach a height of about 80 cm. The plant comes from Africa, so it tolerates bright diffused light well. Linden blossoms in winter. It is quite demanding: sparmania must be watered and moistened frequently, and standard dressings should be applied. In the cold season, it is better to keep it at a temperature of about 10-12 degrees. In the room, the plant will evaporate a lot of moisture and humidify the air well.

3 Nephrolepsis

Boston fern or nephrolepsis is a common species of domestic ferns. Many people love him for his unpretentiousness: he grows both in a shady place and in a sunny one. However, do not let direct rays hit, he will not like them. The only thing you need to do with it is often water and spray. Make sure that the earth ball is always slightly damp, but do not fill it — it is detrimental to the roots. The plant evaporates moisture well, so the room will maintain the desired level of humidity.

four Spathiphyllum

Spathiphyllum is a useful and beautiful plant, which is popularly called «women’s happiness.» It not only moisturizes the air in the room well, but is also able to clean it of mold spores and enrich it with oxygen during the day. Spathiphyllum is undemanding: it does not need frequent watering and a large amount of light. It is worth adding water at least a couple of times a week.

Be careful, the plant contains toxic substances, the leaves are especially dangerous — they can be poisoned. Do not keep it in an apartment where there are animals and children.

5 Dracaena

Dracaena are known for their moisturizing properties. It is especially worth paying attention to the dracaena Marginata, it is also able to purify the air. This species has beautiful leaves, decorated with a red border. Keep the plant in a place with diffused sunlight away from direct rays. Dracaena likes a lot of moisture, so water and spray it regularly, especially in summer. The soil must not dry out. In the cold season, watering should be slightly reduced.

6 Hibiscus

Hibiscus is also called the «Chinese rose», as the plant originated from the tropical regions of Asia. It loves a humid environment, and also evaporates moisture through the leaves well. Water it often and abundantly. In order for hibiscus to bloom regularly, it should be kept in a bright place. In the shade, the plant can also grow, but in such conditions it will not produce flowers.
