The video listed the rules of home wet cleaning

one Remove decor, books, boxes immediately before dusting

This approach is both faster and more efficient. Firstly, you will be able to wipe the dust from all shelves, tables, racks in a shorter time. Secondly, on the surfaces there will be no stains and small lumps of dust that are formed if you move objects directly during cleaning. If the wet stage is preceded by a general clean-up, then walk around the apartment with an empty box and collect all the things that are out of place in it. After cleaning is complete, arrange all the contents of the box. This is much faster than going from room to room several times.

2 Do dry cleaning before wet

Of course, everyone knows that it is better to vacuum first. But start dusting yourself with dry methods — for example, using a whisk. The villi of these devices with the funny name «pipidastr» magnetize and collect large dust, then it will be faster to clean its remains with an ordinary damp cloth.

3 Change bed linen before wet cleaning

If you change the bedding after wiping the shelves and washing the floors, then with a high probability a fresh layer of dust will again fall on the surfaces of this room. This is unpleasant and insulting — the effect of purity will no longer be. After changing bed linen, you will again want to wipe everything, spending extra time.

four Start cleaning from distant rooms and high surfaces

If you follow this logical route, you won’t have to go back to the same room or wipe the same spot multiple times. If the far room is removed, you can go to the next one. If all the “tops” are wiped off, you can go lower. This will also improve the quality of cleaning — dust will not be transferred from one surface to another. If it settles from the upper shelves, then you will wipe the lower ones after.

5 Use the right fixtures

The choice of the most comfortable sponges and rags for wet cleaning is not so simple.

  • Cotton options are universal, they erase dust from any surfaces well, but they do not dry very quickly.
  • Popular rags and microfiber cloths are ambiguous. When dry, they perfectly «attract» dust moistened with water — effectively remove it from smooth materials. But if you walk with wet microfiber on a slightly rough window sill or textured wood, the rag will leave behind a trail of wet, sticky dust particles. The procedure will have to be repeated — spend extra time.

  • Viscose wipes (often sold in rolls) clean small debris well and quickly from different surfaces, but require frequent replacement. Too thin for floor cleaning.
  • A great option is rags made of cellulose. When dry, they harden, become rigid and inflexible — in this state, harmful bacteria do not multiply in them. Under water, they instantly fill with moisture and become excellent assistants in wet cleaning. A cellulose rag is very convenient to «manage»; there are no even the smallest villi, dust particles, stains.

  • Sponges should not be used to remove dust. They are able to collect it well, but barely noticeable water stains will almost certainly remain, as will wet dust particles — especially on smooth glossy surfaces. A sponge is suitable for washing the floor — they are usually used in mops.

6 Remove mobile furniture before mopping the floor

It doesn’t matter if you clean the floor with your hands or with a mop, first move the furniture to another part of the room or to the next room. This will facilitate cleaning, you will not need to spend extra minutes moving furniture. In addition, the result will also improve — there will be no unwashed places and lumps of dust, no traces and stains from moved legs.
