If you often order ready-made food at home from restaurants and forget to give up disposable utensils, they accumulate in kitchen cabinets. Few people allocate a separate place for them, so bags with forks, knives, chopsticks for sushi and rolls, as well as spices remain in the boxes with appliances. They do not add order, rather they contribute to the opposite.
It is better to audit and pull out all such devices. You can leave a few — suddenly they really forget to bring a set of sticks when you order rolls next time. And the rest is to throw away or choose some glass and put them there, hiding them on the upper shelves. Perhaps plastic forks and legs will come in handy when you go to nature. If you decide to throw it away, it is better to take the devices to a plastic collection point. And the next time you order food, be sure to indicate that you do not need them.
Containers can be stored in different ways, but if there is no space, it is often more convenient to nest them inside each other. If they are all different sizes and shapes, chaos will result in the box. Therefore, in conditions of lack of space, it is better to revise and select a new set of containers that can be stored in a stack. Moreover, periodically the plastic still needs to be changed.
Plates and cups with chips and scratches should be mercilessly thrown away, especially if they were bought separately and you do not have sets. Such plates are often not put on the table, but simply kept “just in case”. This case rarely occurs, and they take up space.
The accumulation of assorted caps creates chaos. They can be organized using organizers and other storage options, but those lids that don’t fit any pot or pan should be thrown away so they don’t take up space.
Often, specialized appliances are stored in kitchen cabinets, which are either not used at all, or are extremely rare. We are talking, for example, about yogurt makers, egg cookers and other appliances that are designed to prepare only one dish. They are often given away, so it’s a pity to throw them away. Meanwhile, in the closet they lie «dead weight».
Throwing it out right away is probably not worth it. Try to offer to friends or neighbors — perhaps someone will come in handy and he will take the device for a nominal fee. If, nevertheless, there were no volunteers, contact household appliance stores where you can hand over the appliances for recycling.
If, for the purpose of conscious consumption, you decided not to constantly buy bottled water, but to use old ones and pour it there, you probably have several of these bottles in your drawers in reserve. Situations are different — it is easy to forget to take a bottle with you, and thirst will overtake you suddenly, and you will have to go to the store. Conduct a revision. Plastic bottles can be handed over to a plastic collection point or find a use for them, for example, in the country. And for yourself, purchase a special reusable water bottle and always carry it in your bag, filling it in the morning.
Storing spices is not an easy task. If, for example, they are stored in a cabinet next to the stove or sink, they can deteriorate from temperature and humidity. When stored for a long time, insects start up in them. If you don’t use most spices all the time, review your spice mix and keep only what you need and quality. They can be poured into special jars to put things in order, and if there are not many bags, put them in a suitable box, which is easy to get out of the closet with one hand.
