Yeast, sugar, orange peel are common pie ingredients that can be a great fertilizer for your violet. This is convenient because you don’t have to run to the store, and it’s also safe: sugar poisoning is much more difficult than pesticides from a bag of artificial fertilizers.
one Sugar
Glucose is an excellent nutrient not only for humans, but also for indoor plants. A solution is prepared from a liter of water and a tablespoon of ordinary sugar. Top dressing is carried out no more than once a month, and in addition, EM preparations are added to the soil, which contain carbon dioxide (without it, glucose will not be absorbed).
2 Yeast
Fertilizer with yeast contains B vitamins, thanks to which the plant grows and develops more successfully. It can be made from dry or live yeast. In the first case, the bag is diluted in 10 liters of water and 3 tablespoons of sugar are added. Flowers are watered once a season. Fertilizer from live yeast is prepared as follows: pressed yeast is diluted with water in a ratio of 1:5 and allowed to brew for 2 hours. Use only freshly prepared solution. After top dressing, ash is added to the soil to maintain a balance of potassium.
3 Coffee grounds
Sleeping coffee is a versatile product that can be used not only for making scrubs, but also for fertilizing indoor plants. And although there are no nutrients in the thick, it makes the soil more acidic, loose and light, contributes to the saturation of the soil with oxygen.
four Citrus
Citrus peels are suitable as fertilizers, or rather an infusion from it. It has antiseptic properties, fights pests and increases the immunity of the flower. The solution is prepared as follows: dried crusts are laid out on a third of a liter jar, filled to the top with water and infused for a day. After that, the remaining volume of water is added to the jar and the flowers are watered with this 1-2 times a month, depending on the season (less often in winter).
5 banana peel
Potassium can be fed to houseplants with banana peel fertilizer. An infusion is made according to the same principle as from citrus fruits. You can prepare a powder from the dried peel and add it on top of the soil, then pour it with clean water.
6 onion peel
This is a wonderful antiseptic for plants, which eliminates pests and pathogenic bacteria. For a handful of husks, you need to take a liter of water and boil it, add the husks and cook for 10 minutes. After that, the fertilizer is left for another three hours to infuse it. The resulting solution is irrigated with plants every two weeks.
7 tea leaves
You can water the plants with sweet tea or add sleeping tea leaves to the soil. It will make the earth looser and more oxygenated. But do not overdo it, otherwise black flies may start up in the house — they, like houseplants, love tea.
eight Eggshell
Eggshells are often used to fertilize beds, but they are also suitable for houseplants, as they contain a lot of calcium. The shell crushed into crumbs can be used dry or prepared as an infusion (a teaspoon of powder per liter of liquid).
